Who would have guessed

that I am going to have to actually be induced? Seriously, 6 weeks ago my doctor and I were trying to come up with a game plan to get me to 34 weeks. Now I am about to be 39 weeks! That is INSANE! I don't know what to think about all that. I guess that it's possible that this little one could decide to come in the next couple of days, but I am seriously doubtful.
I am so grateful that God has allowed this baby to stay in this long. I know, I know...I am such a complainer that it might be hard to believe that I really am happy to have stayed pregnant this long, but believe it or not, I would rather be uncomfortable than deal with another early baby. There are just so many complications when they are early! I can't wait to find out if we have been blessed with another boy or another girl. I can't wait to see how Luke and Faith are going to react. Luke is absolutely convinced that it's a girl (and constantly refers to her as Baby Hannah) and that she will make her grand entry into this world through my belly button. Faith is already such a little mommy that I know she will automatically love this little one.
If there is one thing that the LORD has taught me through this pregnancy, it is that His timing is perfect. His timing would still be perfect whether this baby was early or 2 weeks late. (Luckily, Dr. Boyd is inducing me a week early, so 2 weeks late is not an option...) It's just amazing that He has blessed me so much. I have an AMAZING, Godly husband that truly loves me as Christ loves the church, and I am about to have 3 sweet children.
God is good my friends...don't ever doubt that.

TC Cougars Make Back-to-Back Playoff Appearances

Last night was one of the best basketball games that I have seen in a LONG time. Considering that I spend 1/3 of every year watching basketball games, this statement says a lot. Last night, The Colony Cougars played Frisco High School at the Tommy Thomas Gym at The Colony High School. The Cougars really played well and won to take 2nd place in their district.
The first playoff game will be against Terrell High School on Tuesday, February 19th.

GO COUGARS!!!

February 25th @ 7:00 a.m.

Dr. Boyd (OB-GYN extraordinare), called me yesterday to tell me that I have an official induction date...hence the title of this little blog entry. I have to say that I am relieved to have an end so near. So, on Monday, February 25th at 7:00 a.m., I am going to be induced. I am hoping to go on my own before then, but if not, I will be more than willing to take a little help from the Medical Community.

37 weeks is exactly 259 days...

Okay, so those of you who know me, know that I have never made it all the way to "full term" while pregnant. Guess what? I made it! For the first time ever, I have made it to 37 weeks, and for those of you who go the 40+ weeks make me feel like such a baby! All the preterm labor that I had this time around made my doctor and methink that I may be lucky to make it to 34 weeks, but here we are! Everything that we did to counteract the PTL apparently made this baby SUPER comfortable in there!

I am experiencing, for the first time, those late pregnancy discomforts that many of you have dealt with before. Seriously, it's insane. My legs go to sleep every night just because the baby is laying a certain way. The reflux is almost unbearable. Can my skin on my stomach actually stretch past this point? Wow...

So, here I sit on Sunday, February 10th blogging about the joys of pregnancy. My very LAST pregnancy at that. I guess God is giving me what I have prayed for...a healthy, full term baby. I am extremely ready to meet this little one. It's been so fun not knowing if it's a boy or girl, but I am dying to know now. I keep saying to the baby, "If you come out, you can have an identity. A name all to yourself. Your big brother and sister are dying to meet you...they sure are fun! Don't you want to come out and see for yourself? If you hurry, we can make it to the last regular season basketball game and to the playoffs! Won't that be fun?" This poor kid is probably just wishing for a little peace and quiet. Instead he/she gets a mom, dad, and siblings that won't shut up. No wonder he/she doesn't want to come out...it's a crazy life here in the Lee house!

So, hopefully I will be able to post pictures of the newest little Lee in the VERY near future. The suspense is killing me! We'll keep you posted when/if anything changes. Wouldn't it be crazy if I actually had to be induced?

3 Stitches Later...

Well, we were wrong. Tyron and I always thought that Faith would be the first of our children to go to the ER due to an injury, but today we were proven wrong by Luke. Here's what happened: It was such a pretty morning that we went to the park with Betsy, Coburn, Parker, and Sophia. Every one was having a great time...the kids were climbing and sliding and running and jumping. Then all of sudden I see Luke fall out of a tunnel flat on his sweet little face. I knew it was bad just by the sound of him landing. Needless to say, head wounds bleed crazy bad, and in the 3 seconds it took me to get to him his little face was pretty much covered in blood. Talk about tear your heart out. So, off to the ER we went. Thankfully, Betsy followed me so that I wouldn't have to take Faith in with us. (Thank you Betsy - you are truly a life saver.) We went into the ER , Luke got 3 stitches and a really cool Bugs Bunny Band Aid. For all that it was, Luke was extremely brave. No one should have to see that much of their own blood at the age of 3. I'm so proud of him, and I thank God that he wasn't hurt worse than he was. For being so brave, Luke got to have his favorite treat - a Coke. So, all in all, we survived, and I am sure that it will be a fun story for Luke to tell all his little friends. This Momma, however, is thankful that it's over.
